Self-portrait for passport photo.
Albert C. Varady
Photographer and writer.
My photography centers around abstraction where I seek to find visual forms that capture and express what I can’t express in my writing. That said, I do have definite things that I can express about the work. The work teaches me.
I’ve written three novels, Mailroom, Dick Moby, and The Splendid Nothing.
I was a co-founder of Solas Gallery.
I have a BA in Literature from Bard College and completed the certificate program at the Photographic Center Northwest in 2017.
I have participated in some exhibitions, most recently PETITE at STEPHANIE HARGRAVE & ELLEN HOCHBERG STUDIOS.
I have also had work shown at PCNW’s 26th Annual Juried Exhibition, Being Present, as well as a dual show at Solas Gallery.
I live and work in West Seattle, WA.
